saving jpg image files from web page

I had a problem with Microsoft Office 2000 and had to
reinstall it. Since then, whenever I save a JPG image file
from a web page to my hard drive, Internet Explorer
changes the filename extension from JPG to JPEG. In the
dialogue screen it shows "save as type" JPG but in the
filename box it has the JPEG extension in the filename. I
know for a fact that the image files on the web page have
JPG and not JPEG extensions. This is really bugging me as
it's messing up my HTML programming of my site!

You can override the extension if you want.
Just append .jpg to the filename when you save it.
