Saving Files to CD Disc

I am having trouble saving my Word Perfect docs to a cd disc. Everytime, I
try to save them or copy them to the disk, it does it is read-only format.
Now before I even copy or save, I check the properties of the file and the
read-only box isn't checked. How do I change this? I really would like to be
able to save docs to a disc and still be able to make changes.

A CD-ROM is always Read Only. In order to make changes to
a file, you'll have to copy the file to your hard drive, make your
desired changes, then record the file back to the CD.

An how, pray tell, will the OP be able to "record the file back" to a
