Saving a bootable drive?

Hi all,

agp440.sys is the last entry I see before I get the blue
screen of death. It says:

UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

and a STOP: 0x000000ED
(0x81F12898,0x0C0000006,0x00000000,0x00000000)

Is my only recourse to remove the hard drive
and install it on another XP machine as slave
to get the data off it, then run diags on it to
see if it is still any good?
