Use the burning software which came with your CD burner- it's probably
either Nero or EasyCD Creator, to create a "DATA" disc. You may find it
helpful to create some text files to include with the updates on that CD, to
remind you what each one is at a later date.

Regards,
Ian.

I haven't used EasyCD in well over a year now, having replaced it with Nero,
so I can only give you general directions. Have a look in the Help file and
you should find more specifics, but it really is quite easy.

When you launch EasyCD Creator, as I recall, you're presented with a screen
of options- do you want to burn an audio CD, or an mp3 CD (greyed out on the
freeware version possibly?) or a DATA CD. Select that one. The next screen
gives you an Explorer-like search function and a big lower screen which
displays the data files you'll eventually be burning to the CD. Select the
files you want to burn one at a time or en masse, and click the "Add"
button. Those files will appear in that big lower screen, and you'll see
the bar at the very bottom of the screen indicating how much data you're
about to burn and how much space remains on the CD-R. Once you've loaded
all the files you want into that lower window, or once you've pretty much
filled the disc (which ever comes first) click on the "Create CD" or "Burn"
button (I forget what it's called but you'll know it when you see it.)

The old advice was that you should shut down your antivirus program and do
nothing else on your computer during the burn, so as to not interfere with
the process. I'm told these precautions are no longer really necessary with
today's powerful systems but I still follow them out of habit.

Let me know how things work out,
Ian.
