Sata Drive Boot Stop error 0x00000024 with 2nd sata drive attached

I have a client with a non booting Sata Drive Dell system. If amd trying to
recover the data. I installed the drive in a 2nd good system and whether I
boot normally or with the drive disconnected until it is up and running thr
system crashes almost immediately with a stop 0X00000024 error ntfs.sys.

If your primary or exclusive interest at this point is to access the HDD to
copy whatever data you can, you might want to install the drive in a USB or
Firewire external enclosure and see if you can get at it that way.

If you can access the drive that way, then after copying whatever data you
able to, run the chkdsk command and see if that's of any use.

I assume you've checked out the disk with a diagnostic utility from the
manufacturer of the disk, yes?
