Hi,

Start/run msconfig, on the general tab put the system in diagnostic mode.
Reboot. Does it still happen? If not, then you have a damaged registry entry
and need to fix or remove it (whatever it is starting isn't starting
anyways, it's halting at that directory before executing anything). As it's
probably an ATI support file, the easiest solution may be to just update or
reinstall the ATI video driver set. Otherwise we can examine the registry
keys, these are the ones we need:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

To do this, start/run regedit, expand the branches to each key (do this one
at a time). Click on the key, then on file/export. Give it any name, then
save to the desktop. Once you have saved both keys, close the registry
editor. Right-click one of the saved files on the desktop, choose edit, it
should open in notepad. Click edit/select all/edit/copy. Open a response to
this post and click in the message text area. Hit ctrl+v to paste the
contents. Repeat for the other saved key, then send the post for
examination.

isn't starting anyways, it's halting at that directory before

easiest solution may be to just update or reinstall the ATI video
driver set. Otherwise we can examine the registry keys, these are the
ones we need:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

To do this, start/run regedit, expand the branches to each key (do
this one at a time). Click on the key, then on file/export. Give it
any name, then save to the desktop. Once you have saved both keys,
close the registry editor. Right-click one of the saved files on the
desktop, choose edit, it should open in notepad. Click edit/select
all/edit/copy. Open a response to this post and click in the message
text area. Hit ctrl+v to paste the contents. Repeat for the other
saved key, then send the post for examination.

I Tried

No Entries in My Registry were a Problem. Any Other Ideas?

Thanks

I think it is more likely the ATI Scheduler or possibly all three of
the ATI entries in
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]

You could easily check this in Msconfig and rebooting.

Uncheck the entry from Msconfig (Start-Run-MSCONFIG-Startup tab)

As all three look to have the same quoting problems, (absence of
quotation marks), then you may have to alter all of them.
Report back when you verify which one (or ones) is causing it.
