I need to do a system restore & I don't know how to put my pc in 'safe mode'. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Dave. I found that link also. I may have asked the question wrong. I have to put my pc in safe mode first to be able to do a system restore. I don't know how to put it in safe mode. I know I did it a while ago, but I can't remember how to go about it. :-(

Try pressing F8 right after the BIOS boot, when the screen goes blank and the cursor is blinking in the upper lft of the screen
