Safe Mode Boot????

My computer boot only in Safe Mode. I followed the
directions from Norton Anti Virus to remove a worm, but
now it only boots in Safe Mode. Even using the F8 command
when it boots and choosing normal mode still makes it boot
in Safe Mode. This is quite frustrating! Is there a way
to change this? Or do I have to reinstall or recover???

Go to start>run and type msconfig go to the boot.ini tab and assure that
safeboot is not checked. If that doesn't help, you may need to do a scan for
missing or corrupt files. To do this, go to start>run and type sfc /scannow
(note the space between c and /) have your XP CD ready to insert in the CD
drive. Run scannow and if your problem isn't resolved, you may need to do a
repair install of XP. If that is necessary, your files and installed
programs should be unaffected but, if you can, backup any important files
you may need. You will need to re-install updates to the system after the
install. Follow the instructions on the following link for instructions on a
repair install.
