Was there also a driver update for your video card? If so, then its
probably related to your S3 video adapter. Its just there to give you
quicker access to the video settings.
 
Hi everyone,

I just downloaded and installed the newest critical updates. Now when I
reboot I have a new icon in my taskbar called, "S3 control taskbar utility".
Seems that I can exit it without any adverse affects. What is this?
