Hello
I have an S-video cord...and I can't figure how to use it. It plugs in to the back of my laptop...ok, thats just about how far I've gotton. How and with what else does it plug into my TV...? Thanks, and sorry for being so incompetent

It uses an S-Video cable and connects to the S-Video port on the back
(and/or front) of your TV).

Nothing else is required.

If you are in Europe, you may wish to purchase a S-Video to SCART adapter.
SCART sockets are unique to Europe, so disregard if you are in Australasia
or North America.

With the TV turned on, reboot the PC. Once the PC is restarted, right click
the desktop, select Properties. On the Settings tab, click Advanced and
then the Monitor tab.... switch output from Monitor to TV.

Audio is NOT carried by the S-Video cable, as the name suggests, it's video
ONLY.

You need a TV with a corresponding S-Video input on the back. This
only takes care of the video. In addition, you will need the
left/right audio cables plugged in between the laptop and TV input.
Make sure they are the ones associated with the S-Video input. If you
have a normal video jack (normally colored yellow) don't use this plus
the S-Video. It's one or the other for the video connection.
