S.M.A.R.T Capabilities

Could some one tell me how to activate s.m.a.r.t
capabilities during boot-up. O/S is windows XP Pro. If
anyone could help it would be appreciated.

If you want it during bootup, you'd enable it in your bios.

You need to check in BIOS for the option to enable S.M.A.R.T.

S.M.A.R.T is a function of the hard drive, not the OS. If your HDD has
S.M.A.R.T. you need to boot into the system BIOS to enable it.
