+'s and -'s in'from' (email sender) column in mailbox gathering related mails

Since a few weeks I have +'s en -'s in my subject column from Windows Mail.
I do not want that. How can I change settings so that these '+'s disappear ?

View menu>current view>disable 'group messages by conversation'.
