Download a drive diagnostic utility from the drive manufacturer's web
site. That will create a bootable floppy. Run the diagnostics from
there to check the drive.
try this, got it from another site and it works.....START RUN,,,type in CMD to bring up command box.....then type in fsutil/x c: now the c is my drive, you should replace this with the appriopriate letter for your pc.
the ''x'' tells it not to run chkdsk on boot up......
