Running XP off a Dynamic strped set

Go to start.run, and type:

Thanks, but I already have the striped volume created. Now I want to run the
boot partition off of it. My system volume (the one that contains the boot
files) is on drive C:. I have the boot volume (the one that contains my XP
install) currently running off drive D: I then set up the stiped set volume
and now I want to run Windows off of it. Could I just copy the contents of
the D: drive over to the stiped volume and change the boot.ini partition
entry to reflect the new volume? Somehow I dont think it would be that easy.

If the striped drive was drive letter D:, that might work.

Thats just it though, you cant stripe a volume unless the OS is already
installed, and you can only create a striped set using free space from
multiple drives.

I did however copy the contents from the D: drive over to my striped volume,
then changed the boot.ini, but that did not work. I also tried booting from
the XP disk and installing a fresh copy to the striped set, but it told me
that it did not recognize the partition type.

So I dont think XP "knows" how to boot off a striped volume. Anyway now I
think I remember reading somewhere that XP can only boot off a simple
volume.
