Running Windows XP and trying to Run a DOS game

D

Don

I am running Windows XP and am trying to run an old DOS
game. The game runs with one exception. Some of the fonts
are distorted or garbled.

The game comes with a support folder of Borland BGI font's
(the game was programmed in Turbo Pascal).

I have some other DOS games running, some I had to flip
the compatibility tab and tweak other stuff. But nothing
has yet worked for this particular DOS game.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you need more info let me know or contact me offlist.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Don,

Try using the Multiboot bootdisk from: http://members.ozemail.com.au/~lpcd/downloads.html .

With DOSBOX you can emulate a DOS computer on your XP desktop:
http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/information.php

If you prefer to explore other advanced methods, here are two of the best
tutorials I've found on the subject: http://www.dosgames.com/xphints.php
and: http://home.earthlink.net/~angeldancer27/XpGameList.htm :)
