Running Vista Setup from hard drive?

Is it possible to copy the Vista DVD files into a HDD folder and then
install by running Setup from the folder? I'm not talking about mounting the
DVD image, more like the way it's possible to copy the i386 folder from an
XP CD and use that to install XP. Obviously this won't allow booting but
that's not necessarily an issue.

Thanks in advance!

Actually, I did an upgrade path from xp this way. Did a fresh bare bones
install of xp, copied the vista dvd to a cabs folder, and installed from
there. seemed a little quicker, and didn't have any problems. Only problem
you will have, is if you are trying to go from x86 to x64. That being the
case, you WILL have to install from the dvd.
