Running Vista Setup from DOS boot disk?

OK, I can copy the files from the DVD to the HDD and run Setup.exe, but is
there a way of starting Vista installation from DOS ? I know with XP setup
can be started with the 'winnt.exe' command (assuming the files are stored
on a FAT32 partition).

Thanks in advance

Well, started started setup from CMD so I guess you could say its possible.
Although I don't know if you mean running setup using DOS boot disk, in
which case, I don't think its possible since you had to create specific boot
disk for NT 4, 2000 and XP I would suspect that type of setup is phased out
with the new WIM Windows Imaging Format based on WinPE which Vista setup
uses when you boot from the Vista DVD.

Unfortunately, you cannot run the Vista install from DOS. If that were the
case, you would simply have to share a folder (or drive) on your technician
computer containing the Vista install, map a drive to it from the target
computer, and run setup.exe. Instead, invoking Vista's setup.exe will give
you an error message that it cannot run from DOS.

There is of course, the Win PE environment. You can use WinPE as your boot
environment, which is effectively an upgraded equivalent of your DOS boot
floppy.
