Running exe from browser

Hi all,

I am having trouble running an exe from a network machine.

eg. somecomputername/someprogram.exe

Every time I type the above in the address bar, the browser
immediately brings up the save as dialog.

Since other people on the network can run the exe fine, this obviously
have to do with some browser or security settings on my machine. Does
anyone know how to solve this?

I am running IE 6.0.26 if that matters at all.

It is security zone related Look Internet properties and security page.
Check your Local Intranet setting. Have you checked "Include all network
paths (UNCs)"?. Also if you wish to run files from site like
pc123.yourcompany.com, you can add this computer to Local Intranet sites.
Just click Advanced button from tht same settings page.
