running defrag with lilited rights

We have about 400 win 2k and win xp pc's at work. One of our largest
problems is fragmentation. Is there a way to allow a user with no
permissions to run defrag as admin? I was thinking of a script shortcut, but
cannot find anything on the web. Thank you.

Users can't defrag. Windows XP performs regular partial defrags on its own.

With all due respect, if you need to defrag that many workstations, what
you really want is a third-party product, which will also give you tools
to centrally manage the whole process, without any user intervention.

What *users* can't defrag? I do it all the time.

I can't, for example. I'm a member of the Users group on a Win XP Pro
domain here at work.

Okay, I see. Just the regular users. Thanks.
