With increasing frequency, a DVD I'm playing or video clips I'm using in
PowerPoint presentations on my laptop will begin to slow and become "choppy."
In checking the Task Manager, it appears that rundll32.exe is the culprit. It
shows using 95 to 99% of the CPU! When I attempt to shut down the computer
after this incident, it shows that rundll.32.exe is not responding and do I
want to end now. I understand that the rundll32.exe is a necessary program,
but is there a fix for this? Amazingly, it does not happen each time I play a
DVD or use embedded video clips in PowerPoint, but is is happening almost
everytime now. Thank you for any help!
