Rules Don't Work

I am using Windows XP and Outlook 2003 and have a problem
with Rules. I have established 6 rules to move email to
different folders when they are received. From day to day
the rules turn themselves off in a random pattern. The
problem is complicated because I move my pst file from one
stand alone computer at my office to my stand alone pc at
home. I have made sure that the "for this machine only"
choice is disabled. I want the same rules to apply to both
machines all the time. What am I doing wrong?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

rules are easily messed up when you move a pst between multiple machines.
try exporting the rules fro,m each computer and import them when you move
the pst to that computer.

What you're doing wrong is expecting the rules to transport. Rules contain
more than just the conditions and actions. They also contain a reference to
the system on which they were created and when you change PCs you introduce
a conflict in that information. I don't know that it will work, but I think
that your best bet of getting this to work is to, in addition to the PST,
when it's time to move to the other PC, export your rules to a RWZ file on
the transport medium and import those rules on the other PC.

Thanks to both of you for the suggestions.
