Rule which moves incoming e-mails sent to a specific address to a folder

Is there a server based rule to move incoming e-mails sent to a specific
folder.

I have a mailbox with several e-mail addresses and want to have a folder
which represents each e-mail address. When someone sends an e-mail it will
automatically be moved to the folder which represents that specific e-mail
address.

anyone have any ideas?

I get stuck since i cant get a server based rule which looks at the sent to
e-mail address field.

I.e

i have a mailbox with 3 different e-mailaddresses.
(e-mail address removed)
(e-mail address removed)
(e-mail address removed)

In the inbox i want 3 different folders which represents the above e-mail
addresses:
INBOX\ORDERS
INBOX\INVOICES
INBOX\COMPLAINTS

Whenever an e-mail comes into the inbox i want the server to move the e-mail
based on which e-mail address the e-mail is sent to. I.e if the e-mail was
sent to (e-mail address removed) the e-mail should be moved to the folder
INBOX\INVOICES.

I cant find such a rule.

I'm running Outlook 2003 and Exchange 2007.

You can get this server based if you are indeed delivering your email to the
Exchange mailbox and not to a local pst-file.
There is one exception though and that is that internal messages resolve
directly to your primary address and thus the rule can't function.

There are various workarounds for this like using a 3rd party tool such as;
http://addins.howto-outlook.com/ivasoft_smartreply
This will separate the aliases into virtual accounts so you can filter at
email address level.

Another workaround is to create an Active Directory Contact (ask your mail
admin) and configure that with an alias and a forwarder to your mailbox. You
can now filter at email address level as well.

What is the rule that you are trying to use? Any clause in the rule
that requires action by the e-mail client (Outlook) means it becomes a
client-side rule. For example, only the e-mail client knows if an item
is read or not (being delivered to the e-mail client does not make the
item as read). So if you add the clause "mark as read" then it becomes
a client-side rule because that's only something relevant to the client.

I'm choosing the rule

Step 1:
"with specific words in the recipients address" and then enter the
e-mailaddress as criteria.

Step 2:
In the next step i choose "move it to the specified folder" which is a
folder under the inbox. No PST files are involved.

When i finish the rule creation Outlook says: "This rule is a client-only
rule, and will process only when outlook is running"

Is there any other rule i should choose in step 1? Any suggestions?
