RPC server not available error installing printer driver

Hi, I just bought a new EPSON C44UX printer that connects
to my WinXP Pro SP1 thru USB. WinXP automatically
detected the new printer and tried to install the driver
from the CD that comes with the printer.

After showing some messages saying it is copying driver
files from the CD it gives the RPC server not available
error and failed.

I checked the services on my XP & found that one of the 2
RPC service is not started. I started that service, made
it start automatically for each reboot and tried again.
But I still got the same error. My PC is 1 yr old with P4
& 256MB ram, 40GB harddrive.

Can anybody help?

Thanks,
Vincent

Problem solved!
It's caused by Norton Antivirus 2003. After I turned off
AutoDetect temporarily, the driver installed successfully.
NAV seems to be blocking RPC calls which caused the
problem.
