RPC Problems

OK. I had to reinstall windows xp and now it will come
on for awhile then it pops up with a window that says
that the RPC has performed an error and windows will
restart in 1:00 seconds. How do I fix this. it's
driving me crazy. I tried reformatting the hard drive,
etc (losing everything on the computer) and it's still
doing it.
