RPC Shutdown

H

Henry Rajewski

I'm getting a message:
"This system is shutting down. Please save all work in
progress and log off. Any unsaved changes will be
lost. This shutdown was initiated by NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM.
Windows must now restart because the Remote Procedure
Call (RPC) service terminated unexpectedly."
It gives me 60 seconds to do what it said and restarts.
That happens very often. Can somebody give me advice how
to fix this problem?

Hi

It can also be some missing updates.. Try
windowsupdate.microsoft.com

Missing updates is not really the problem now.
If all the Critical Updates were applied, then this could have been
prevented.
However, now that the OP has Blaster, the updates are not enough.
The OP also needs to fix the problem, the updates are preventative and
do nothing for an infected computer.
