Rounded Corners

Several replies in the archives suggest that rounded border corners should be created using a combination of lines and quarter-circle images. The replies include links to helpful resources

However, FP2003 clearly states that you can create rounded borders using the Layout Tables and Cells task pane.
Layout Tables and Cells > Cell Corners and Shadows > Corners. The Corners section has several options in the UI to create rounded borders

Why can't I activate this section? The section is always inactive ("greyed out") regardless of what table, cell, etc. I select.

Thanks for any help.

Which part of this procedure doesn't work?

1. Open a new blank page.
2. Display the Layout Tables And Cells task pane.
3. Click Insert Layout Cell.
4. When the Insert Layout Cell dialog box appears,
accept the defaults and click OK.
5. Click the Cell Formatting link at the top of the
Layout Tables And Cells task pane.
6. Under Corners, look for the Apply section, then
click the corners you want.

Ah, I see - I was simply trying to change the borders of a table cell I had already created. I'm starting to get that simply changing existing borders to rounded corners (like I can do in Visio) isn't possible. Is this correct

Thanks!

Yes, that's basically true.
