Roaming Profile not Loading

Currently testing out AD have a mini lan set up, 1
server, 1 desktop and 1 laptop.

AD is fully installed and working as is the group policy,
romaing profile and my documents redirection.

However the laptop refues to obey the AD, the desktop
works fine, the my documents is linked to the server, the
profile works and windows shows it as the roaming profile.

However on the laptop it does none of that, it still says
its using a roaming profile but does not load the
background up, or the remote folders. The laptop also
ignores the group policies as well.

The server is 2K Sever, the PC is XP SP2 and the laptop
is XP SP1

Any ideas are appricated

Hello Dave,
Check TCP/IP DNS Settings on the laptop. It must point to the DNS Server
holding the AD DNS Zone. This is mostly the first deployed domain
controller. No other public/isp DNS Servers should exist.
