RIS +SP2 +Default User Profile

I tried to create some new images for RIS using SP2 and I setup a custom
default user profile. After I run riprep and load the image my custom
default profile is gone. Does anyone have anyway to fix this problem?

Hi

Note this change in WinXP SP2:

The mini-setup that runs after sysprep is run on a WinXP SP2 computer,
copies the Administrator profile over to the Default User profile (the
source for future new accounts). This copy step is new for SP2. If you
want to avoid this Administrator profile copying (to have it behave as
pre-SP2), rename the Administrator account.

Alternatively, call for the hotfix mentioned here:

Changes in behavior of the SysPrep and RIPREP tools after you
install Windows XP Service Pack 2

As the article states, you need to call Microsoft Product Support Services to
obtain it (outside the US, customers should contact their local Microsoft
subsidiary.). The support call will be be free as long as you refer to the
Knowledge Base Article number (887816) and ask for nothing more.

You will need to find the phone number from here:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;[LN];CNTACTMS

In the wizard, Select WinXP, and Basic, and then "It was purchased separately"

For USA, you end up here

Use phone number 425-635-3311
