RIS Install fails

I've taken an image of an Acer laptop with XP Pro & SP1 (fully updated) and placed this on my RIS Server. I can sucessfully connect to the RIS server with an identical machine using the PXE boot disk and select the image to transfer.

However, as soon as the 'Setup is starting Windows' message appears the screen goes black and the process stops. I've read the MS documents on this but it only recommends installing the latest service pack and installing another graphics card which isn't an option on a laptop.

Has anyone has this problem or can give me an idea of something to try - I have 32 of these laptops and RIS is the perfect solution to rollout the image!

Are these Travelmate 220's by any chance?

Have you installed Windows XP from the RIS server as apposed to the CD? Have you tried it without installing any Windows Updates?

Sounds like you need to add 3rd party video drivers to your RIS
installation.

The Video drivers are already added to the RIS installation and SIF
files edited accordingly (and the binlsvc service restarted). It falls
over at the begining during copying files (where the blue set up
screen is). the screen goes blank and that's it!

Any other solutions?
