RIS Images not available

I have a 2000 native domain with a 2003 RIS server. I have a known good
image that is available for selection when I am imaging a computer. But,
when I boot up to the RIS disk on a slightly newer model computer, this
image does not show up as available. I do not remember this behavior with
the 2000 RIS servers. Is there something that is hiding this image?

It may not be available if the HAL is different from the RIS client:

The images may not be available if NTFS permissions on the *.SIF file in
each image blocks the RIS user.

Sometimes a PXE version on the NIC will affect what the RIS user sees: if
you have a 3Com card, try their PXE boot floppy:
