Right mouse button problem

S

Schemer

Hello,

WinXP sp 2.

Recently, the right mouse button menu stopped appearing when clicking in
Windows Explorer, or the Windows desktop.
I just right-clicked on the desktop, and cursor changed to an hourglass,
briefly, then changed back.

Any ideas on how to fix this?
TIA...

Use gpedit.msc to check if right mouse button is enabled/disabled.

What software has been installed right before this problem started? It
could be due to an ill behaving context menu handler. See this link:

Right-click is slow or weird behavior caused by context menu handlers
