Right Click Start Button

When I right click the start button on my PC, it goes to an hourglass
and the taskbar is basically locked. This will last about 2 to 5 minutes
and nothing will show up. When the start button is free the task bar
works again. I am on Win XP pro running client 4.83. The start menu,
menus, folders and desktop is set to classic.
Can't find anything else that doesn't work.


any ideas?

yes i know how to fix this... but it aint' pretty, if you
would like to go through the loooooooooong hard process,
