Hi Racspur :)

Try the following and see if it helps:

Opening new browser window For opening links in a new window

Tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab>uncheck 'reuse windows for launching
shortcuts'

or.........

How to open Multiple Browser Windows

Can not open other windows:

If these steps do not resolve your problem, or you need help with the above,
please post back to this thread with the details and any error messages.

Hope this helps

First let me thank you taking the time to reply...Now I tried everything you
suggested to no avail but, it did help me eliminate many possibilities as the
source of the problem. After I tried all of your suggestions I decided to try
an repair installation with my XP Home disc to try and re-install a corrupt
file but that didn't work either so my next step was to question my security
software which is Mcafee security suite and through the process of
elimination found the culprit in there !!! The suite has an application
called " Privacy Service " !!! I don't know exactly how it was doing it but
when I disabled this particular app everything worked fine ! Again thank you
so much for the help !!!
