On all the computers at work except this one, which all
run XP, right-clicking on the Start Button opens a small
menu (is this called the 'context menu'?) which contains,
among other things, the options 'Open', 'Explore'
and 'Search'. On this machine, that menu opens, but those
three options are missing. I have searched high and low
on the internet for a fix or reason for this. I have
found plenty of tips on how to disable this menu, but
precious little on how to restore its full functionality.
I downloaded a fix from www.kellys-korner-xp.com, as I
know Kelly is very good when it comes to XP fixed, which
updated the registry (file contextmenu.reg) but has not
fixed the problem. Is there anybody out there who can
help me? Please! Are you out there Kelly?
