Start button right-click menu items

O

Opinicus

WinXP Home with all updates etc in place.

When I right click on the Start button I'm presented with a menu of items
that begins with "Open" and "Explore" and continues with things that I'd
never use such as "Add to Windows Media Player list" and "Play with Windows
Media Player" and with items that were installed by other software.

Where is this menu kept? How do I clean the unwanted items out of it?

The easiest way to edit the right-click context menu is with the free
ShellExView.

Manage the context-menu entries for folders, drives and Namespace objects -
