How can i make image files in the folder "MY PICTURES" , always open using the same photoshop editor (adobe photoshop elements) as a default. I will change one picture but the next time I open it, it reverts back to another photo editor that I have.

============================
Try this...

Right click an image and from the menu...choose /
Properties / General tab / Change button...

Select the program you wish to view the image with...

OK / Apply / OK.

That should do it.

Some photo editors may change file associations for a some formats either by
asking or without your knowledge. If you have multiple photo editors check
the settings or preferences in each photo editor to see what file types it
is set to open.

Open Windows Explorer go to Tools| Folder Options | File Type Tab and scroll
the list for the extension you want , select then click change to associate
the file type with the program of choice be sure to check the box "Always
use the selected program to open this kind of file"
