Returned mail (which I NEVER sent!!!)

Every day I am getting 5-10 e-mails that contain viruses,
always with a subject like "latest critical patch". I
delete these e-mails and quarantine the virus.

However, the following day, I get 5 or so messages about
mail that could not be delivered (usually with an address
like (e-mail address removed) or some such), even though i
sent no such mail. How is this possible or are these
messages part of the same virulent hoax?

Can someone be using my computer to send messages without
my knowledge?

Just a virus that found your e-mail address somewhere on the Internet.
Nothing to worry if you know that you are not infected with any virus. For
