Messages being sent from empty Outbox

E

EPS

With 1 message in my Outbox to be sent, I hit "send/receive." At the bottom
right corner, a note that "sending 1 of 3" then "sending 2 of 3", then
finally "sending 3 of 3" is seen. Only the 1 current e-mail message I have
composed and which is sitting in my Outbox shows up in my Sent Box. However,
I have received word that 3 e-mails are being sent out. (The 1 recent e-mail
and also 2 e-mails that were previously composed and sent the day before.)
How do I get rid of the 2 e-mails going out everytime I hit "send/receive"?
They aren't residing in my Outbox. There is no indication in my Sent Box that
these two e-mails are sent.
Thx.
