Message in Outbox just sits - won't send

Using Windows XP Home Ed. Outlook 2003. Just set up my Outlook. Created 3
e-mails by clicking on Tools, E-mail Accounts and then create. Repeated this
3 times to create the 3 e-mail accounts. Clicked test account settings as I
created each and all came back just fine. My e-mails also came in from my
web host just fine too. I attempted to send my first answer an e-mail,
clicked on the send/receive button, but my e-mail is now just sitting in the
Outbox. It is italicized. Every once in a while I see a "Preparing to
send/receive" message appear at the bottom of the computer screen, but the
mail in the outbox never gets sent. I have checked to have mail sent
immediately, so that's not the problem. I've tried clicking again on
Send/Receive button multiple times. Initially I received all green checks
displaying all has been received and sent, although my e-mail remained
sitting in the Outbox in actuality. Other times, nothing....no green checks.
Just reflects it's processing, but the "processing" message never turns into
a green checked "completed" message. What am I doing wrong? Did I
incorrectly set up these e-mails, although test account settings indicated
all was set up correctly. Any help in this regard would be greatly
appreciated. I've worked on this for hours now, to no avail.

What is your domain and mail servers? It might actually has something to do with it. If your provider uses SSL, you might need to upgrade the service pack version of your outlook 2003(not OS).It could also be a possibility that your data file for your outlook is already full..maximum size for your data file is 8MB, I think. You can check the size when you click on file - data management..click on the path and open folder it says. The highlighted pst file shows the size. If its already about 8MB, you would need to create a new data file to download your emails to.

Hope it would help!?

Uhhh nope. I hope you really meant 8 GB rather than 8 "MB"....and even so
it's wrong.
A new pst file in Outlook 2003 format can be up to 20 GB by default, and can
go higher with a registry tweak...
