Is there a way to retrieve e-mail messages from a
computer that is serioulsy corrupted (can't open
anything) to another computer. I need to save the
messages before a total wipe. I believe the messages are
still in the Inbox, but I can't open OE or anything else.

TIA

All Outlook Express datastores are .DBX. If the PC's
drive is FAT32, you can access the drive via a Dos Boot.
You would be working with 8.3 filenames so navigating
to where the files are can be difficult.
Depending on the content of the mail folders (Inbox.DBX)
and any personal folders (also .DBX) they may not fit onto a
1.44 Megabyte floppy.
If the drive is NTFS then getting access may require placing
the drive in a working computer to backup the data you require.
Alternately, if you have a Imaging program you could backup
the entire drive and then use the program's restore function to
get the .DBX files back.
