Retaining word hyperlinks when printing to acrobat

I'm trying to print a complicated well-linked word document to pdf via acrobat distiller
When printing through distiller all the hyper links in the word document are lost (still get blue, underlined font - but no actual link
Is there a setting in Word or even acrobat that needs to ticked to enable this- I'm sure it used to work

Use the Acrobat Acrobat tool that gets installed into Word. Don't just
use Distiller directly. Normally available from the Word Menu and
they make a toolbar available. There are many configuration settings
available to do exactly what you want to do, plus more. This fully
described in Adobe Acrobat documentation.
