Resuming from Standby Gives HUGE Problems / Errors

Hey, Whats Up. If you can help me, please give it a shot.
I just got a new HD put in my Toshiba Laptop because the
other one crashed. Now, when the system goes into
standby, it is impossible to get it back out. When I
attempt to, many different colored lines fill the screen
with a creme colored background. I have to unplug AND
pull out my battery to restart it. Then it says WARNING:
RESUME ERROR...and Im thinkin: "YEA, NO KIDDIN'". Please,
if you can help, aid in my struggle.

That's usually caused by a driver or missing driver(s). It appears
you had the HD in your Toshiba replaced by a repair shop. The repair
shop may not have loaded all the required Toshiba drivers for the
power saver functions and/or the motherboard chipset.

I would take it back to them and have them check it out. Make sure
they loaded all the required Toshiba drivers for the machine. Your
Toshiba notebook computer should have come with a set of recovery CDs
which include all necessary software and drivers for the machine.
