resume-from-standby PS2 Keyboard & Mouse

The PC will not resume from standby when the PS2 keyboard or mouse are used
even though these options are enabled in the BIOS (Asus A7N8X Deluxe
motherboard).

The PC will resume however if the power button is pressed. Anybody know
why?

TIA

Rich.

Open your Device Manager, right-click on your mouse and
select Properties. Click on the Power Management tab and
check "Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby".

You can do the same for your keyboard and other devices.

What if the keyboard and mouse Device Manager Properties don't have a Power
Management tab (even though the modem & 1394 do)?

Could this be due to the fact that Windows XP may have been installed with
the options turned off in the BIOS (even though they are now turned on)?

TIA

Rich.

Selecting the option in the BIOS was not enough. On the A7N8X Deluxe there
is a "Keyboard Wake Up" jumper that needs changing from the default disable
to enable. Both the jumper and the BIOS options have to be changed to get
it to work.

The Power Management tab on the keyboard and mouse properties did not appear
though.
