Restoring factory settings

I recently managed to delete ATI from my system and now have a stupidly small
screen. My laptop has been getting slower and slower recently anyway and I
was told the only thing to do now is to restore it back to factory settings..
This will mean I lose everything on my laptop at the moment, right? So I'll
need to copy it all, but could someone please tell me how to restore it as
having this small screen is driving me crazy.

You could try system restore first.
If *all you did* was delete ATI visit your laptop manu site and download
install the vid driver for your specific laptop.
How you restore depends on your Laptop manu and what was supplied with the
sys
Usually the manu will have instructions on their site.
Whether you lose everything depends again on the type of restore, but assume
you will lose all data and back it up
