System restor to factory settings

i have a laptop i want to restore to factory settings
it runs WinXP home SP3
the laptop has the recovery console preinstalled on it i also have a disk
i do not have a windows XP disc but may be able to get hold of one if it
would work

It is entirely possible that either the "recovery console", or the supplied "disk", would reformat
the drive and reinstall the factory image. However you do not give enough details for a better
guess.
What is the make and model of the laptop?
What does the "disk" you have say on it?
Did you know that pressing the shift key before your type the pronoun "I" works?

the disk is downloaded from the internet and is the recovery console cd
it is a Packard Bell easynote MV35-202
and i am not a retard i just dont do it

Go here: ftp://ftp.packardbell.com/pub/itemnr/6960870101/6960870101.pdf and
read the installation manual starting on page 56 to restore to original
factory specs.

The actual restore instructions begin on page 57.
