restoring deleted photos..???

Does anyone know how I might be able to restore some
pictures I deleted by mistake? This is what happeened: I
got a pop-up baloon saying I was running out of disc space
so I clicked on it and to free up some space on my hard
drive I deleted some junk I thought I didn't need but I
forgot I had stashed some photo files in a subfolder in
the WUtemp folder!(what is this by the way?)I relized soon
after when I went and put a few photos in the folder and I
had to remake the folder with the same name! Anyway I ran
system restore and got back the folder of the same name
but it was empty!!! Is there a way to retreave those lost
photos if they have not all been overwritten???? Anyones
help is really appreciated. Much thanks Paul

Maybe the files you deleted are in your recycle bin.

Or maybe a program of the type at the following link
would help you restore the images.

I'm thinking the WUTemp folder is used by Windows Update.

I use software called Digital Picture Recovery. I paid

about $30 for it (download from web), I have
recovered "lost" files from my cameras memory card, and
it works!, they say it can also recover lost or deleted
pictures from hard drives. I can't remember which site I
found it at, but I found it by searching for "digital
photo recovery". By the way, a handy little trick I use:
create a new folder on your hard drive called "1temp", it
shows near the top of the list, you can stick anything
there until you get a chance to organize better. I have
1, 2, 3temp folders on each of my hard drives for that
purpose. Very handy.
