Restoring default file extensions associations

R

Robert Muller

I was ignorant and chose associate all listed file types
when installing Paint Shop Pro 7. This included some
graphic type with an .msp extension. I since removed
these associations from Paint Shop Pro.

I am now unable to successfully re-associate .msp files
to work correctly...i.e. for an administrative update of
Office XP. Also, the preview and viewing of sent faxes
does not work.

Is there a way to re-associate the extensions to Windows
default? or at least a way for the .mps extensions?

Thanks

Kelly has a couple of downloadable association fixes.

If this is a recent situation, you might want to consider System
Restore. Start button \ programs \ accessories \ system tools \ system
restore. Choose a point saved before your problem began.
