Restore taskbar to the default position

I moved the taskbar to the right hand side of my computer screen and can't
move it back. I have clicked on an empty area and tried to drag it back to
the bottom, left and top of the screen and it won't move. I have checked and
double-checked and the taskbaris not locked. I have tried several times and
I've had other people to try as well and they can't move it either. I know
it sounds silly - anyone have any suggestions?

It can be done. I try to avoid doing it though.

Click on the space just above the system tray (normally the right hand part)
and drag it back.

Right click the taskbar then click to clear the Lock Taskbar option.

Left click, hold down the button and drag the Taskbar down to the bottom.

Right click the taskbar then click Lock the Taskbar.

Now it can't be moved or resized unless the Lock Taskbar option is cleared
again.
