Restore Function

Last evening I installed McAfee virus protection and
internet security. It seems to have deleted all previous
restore dates before last evening. Is there some way to
get those dates back as I need to restore to an earlier
date in order to retrieve a file. Thank you for any help
you can give me
 
If the Restore Points are gone then there is no way to get them back. It's very doubtful that allow you to retrieve a missing file anyhow, since System Restore deals with system files and settings, not every file on the commuter.
