Restart problem after Remote Connection

I can connect to my Vista machine with no problem from an XP machine. After
disconnecting, when I go to Vista machine it is in some kind of sleep mode. I
cannot "wake it up" by jiggling the mouse or crt-alt-del or anything like
that. I have to keep hitting the start button till is seems to shut off and
restart. Very annoying. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Check your BIOS is set to S3 in the power management section and if you have
the choice of which devices can wake up the PC choose the mouse and/or
keyboard.

as a note: I can get Vista to sleep okay but I have no mouse or keyboard
(both PS2) when it resumes :(
